Game Preview: Rockies vs Mets

The Mets try to complete the always difficult 4-game sweep this afternoon as the Rockies play their last game in Queens for the season. For the second straight game yesterday, the Mets shut-out the Rockies, this time by the score of 3-0 in a game that saw a dominant outing from deGrom, strong relief from both Clippard and Familia, and the first homer from Cespedes. Even including that start, in his last 8 starts he has tossed 54.0 innings with a 2.17 ERA. Syndergaard has never faced the Rockies before, but he has faced Jose Reyes who is 0-3 with 2 K’s.

Eddie Butler will get the start for the Rockies. He is 3-9 over 15 starts and 75.1 innings with a 5.50 ERA and 40 K’s.
