The Mets look to extend their winning streak to 7 games and look to win the 4 game series with the Marlins tonight as they play the fish for the third day in a row. Yesterday was once again the Bartolo show. Colon had a strong start allowing a solo homer in the first inning and then shutting the Marlins down from innings 2 through 7. He also hit a sacrifice fly (seriously) to drive in the Mets first run of the night, tying the ball game. The atmosphere last night was electric as the Mets continue to build confidence, excitement and momentum.
On the bump for the Amazin’s tonight is Jacob deGrom who is 1-1 over his first two starts of the season pitching 12.1 innings with a 1.46 ERA. He has allowed only 2 ER on the season despite allowing 13 hits. He has also walked only one batter compared to 9 strikeouts. He made four starts against the Marlins last year with a 2-0 record and a 1.67 ERA over 27.0 innings. In that stretch he allowed 22 hits and 8 walks leading to 5 runs while striking out 34 batters. The Marlins have the following numbers against deGrom:

- Yelich 2-10
- Stanton 2-7, 2B
- Hechavarria 2-7
- Gordon 0-6, 3 K
- Solano 2-5, 2B
- Morse 0-3
The Mets batters will get a crack at Mat Latos who is not off to a good start this year with his new ball club. He is 0-2 this season over 4.2 innings with 10 runs, 9 earned, which is an ERA of 17.36. Over those 4.2 innings he has allowed 11 hits and 5 walks while striking out none. Latos allowed 3 runs, all unearned against the Mets last year over 6 innings. Overall the Mets have the following numbers against Mat:
