The Mets start a series with the Diamondbacks tonight fresh off dropping a series with the Nationals. Yesterday the wheels (really no pun intended, I say this a lot) fell off for the Mets as they just couldn’t get anything positive going. The game ended with Recker pitching, which is, well a white flag. Anyway, Shaun Marcum pitches for the Mets tonight as he faces Wade Miley.
Marcum is 1-9 on the season pitching 67.1 innings with a 5.08 ERA. He had two bad outings in a row before his last one where shut out his opponents for 8.0 innings.
