MLB makes authentic hats like Taco Bell makes variations of the same ingredients into new menu items.
The only difference though is I enjoy consuming Taco Bell.
For what seems like forever, teams have wore Stars and Stripes hat on July 4th (Although It has only been 5/6 years). Last year baseball took it to another level conflating a military complex with patriotism by having hats with camo in the inside of the logo. This year they started off with USMC hats, and now they have hats like this for the 4th:

The hats this year have either a blue of red brim and are white or grey on top depending if they are home or away. That is a slight improvement so it’s easier to tell the teams apart in the stands. Honestly I still really dislike these hats but I’m not going to rant about it this year. Maybe next year.
Or maybe later this year if the MLB does something stupid again.
