The news that Metsblog has been reporting the last few days has finally made it to the Baltimore Sun. The Sun is reporting this morning that Andy MacPhail expects Bedard to be the opening day starter for the Orioles which means that he is not satisfied with offers he is getting for Bedard.
“It's up to [manager] Dave Trembley in the final analysis to set his rotation, but that's what [Bedard] is today, and I think that's a strong likelihood,' said MacPhail, the Orioles' president of baseball operations. 'But that said, you never know.”
That all being said, it looks like the Orioles are just making it public that they are still open to huge offers, but they need to be HUGE offers to separate Bedard from the Orioles.
