The Mets dropped the first game of the series last night and look to rebound this afternoon behind rookie Dillon Gee. Gee has been phenomenal in his first two starts of the season where he has allowed only one earned run in 13 innings of work while striking out 7. In those 13 innings of work he has allowed only 14 base runners in the form of seven walks and seven hits. Also, since he has made only two starts this season, he has not faced anybody on the Braves yet.
The Mets batters will get a familiar face this afternoon in Tim Hudson who is 15-8 with a 2.62 ERA this season. He is 0-3 in his last three starts with an ERA of 6.03. His first loss of those three was against the Mets where he allowed 3 earned, 4 total runs in 7 innings of work. The Mets have these numbers on Tim:
Wright 12-52, 2 HR
Pagan 6-12, 2B
Davis 2-6, 2B
Reys 15-57, 2 2B, HR
Lets Go Mets!
