Mets Breakfast

Some quick hits to go with your Saturday morning Frosted Mini-Wheats Big*:

1) Another no-hitter was thrown last night. However not by the Mets. This time it was Edwin Jackson who did as a Diamondback against his old team, the Rays. The Rays have now had two no-hitters thrown against them this season (the first being Dallas Braden).

2) I'm still pretty “angry” that the Phillies got to play a road game last night in Philly. Adding a DH to that ballpark is just not really fair. I hope the Jays take the next two games, especially if they take them in the bottom of the ninth.

3) David Wright has been ridiculous this month. I'll probably do a numbers article on him soon but after last night he now has 22 doubles, 13 homers and 59 RBI's on the season already.

4) It was just good to see the Mets pick themselves up after last night. The confidence train keeps on rolling.

*Seriously this is a real thing. The naming of this cereal is beyond me. If its a larger version of Frosted Mini-Wheats, then its just Frosted Wheat! The Mini gets canceled by the big!
