The Mets go for the sweep tonight!
The Mets took an early 1-0 lead last night and the Phillies came right back and made it 2-1. The Mets opened the floodgates and won 8-2. Now the Mets go for the series sweep tonight against an old friend in Zack Wheeler on national television.

In general, he’s seen a huge improvement in strikeouts from April to May. In April he struck out 18 batters over four starts. Over four starts in May he has struck out 33 batters. Wheeler has faced the Mets once this season, back on April 12th, where he held the Mets to one run from two hits over 4 2/3 innings, in a game the Mets eventually won 2-0.
