Jacob held the Angels scoreless over 7 and the Mets scrapped together 3 runs, including another homer from Conforto. Today the Mets will look to keep it going and inch closer back to .500.

His last outing may have been his best on the season as he allowed 1 run over 7 hits and one walk in 6.0 innings of work. He is 2-1 over 4 starts this season over 19.1 innings and a 5.59 ERA, 4.53 FIP and 1.603 WHIP. Before coming up to the big league squad this year, he made 4 starts in the minors pitching 19.0 innings with a 6.16 ERA and 1.789 WHIP. Not surprisingly, a young Twin turned Angel doesn’t have much experience against anyone on the Mets roster. The only Met who has seen him is Jay Bruce who is 0-1.
