Game Preview: Braves vs Mets

The Mets lost back to back games to the Braves yesterday and both the Giants and Cardinals won, so now there is a three way tie for the first Wild Card spot in the National League. The Mets are hoping to distance themselves in a positive way starting tonight with Bartolo Colon on the hill.

Bartolo Colon is looking for win 15 on the season. So far he is 14-7 over 31 games and 30 starts with 177.2 innings of work with a 3.14 ERA. In his last four starts he is 2-0 over 26.0 innings with a 1.38 ERA, including 7.0 innings of shutout ball last time out against the Twins. He faced the Braves earlier in the month and held them to 3 ER over 6.0 innings in a game the Mets eventually lost. The Braves have the following numbers against Colon:

The Mets bats will face off against Ryan Weber who is 1-1 over 31.1 innings, 15 games and 1 start this year with a 5.46 ERA. His last start was against the Nationals at the beginning of the month where he allowed 5 ER over 3.0 innings. The last time he faced the Mets was back on April 23rd where he allowed 6 hits and 3 ER over 2.0 innings. The Mets have the following numbers against Ryan:
