Game Preview: Mets @ Phillies

The Mets kick off their return to baseball tonight with the Phillies. The Mets ended the first half on a sour note, after a dominating two series, they fell flat in the last three games against the Nationals. That being said, the Mets turn to their All-Star tonight, Bartolo Colon who has a 7-4 record over 18 games and 17 starts pitching 98.2 innings with a 3.28 ERA. His last start was his worst this season allowing 6 ER over 4.2 innings in a game the Mets eventually won. Before that, Bart had a 1.96 ERA over 8 starts and 46.0 innings. In his only start against the Phillies this season, Bartolo allowed only 1 ER over 6.0 innings while striking out 7. The Phillies have the following numbers against Colon:

The Mets bats draw Jeremy Hellickson tonight who is 6-6 over 18 games and 105.2 innings with a 3.92 ERA this season. In his last three starts Jeremy is 2-0 over 18.0 innings with a 1.50 ERA, so he has really turned it on as of late. He has made two starts this season against the Mets, but it was all the way back in April. In his first start, he allowed 2 ER over 5.2 innings and then in his next start he allowed 4 ER over 4.1 innings where the Mets had 10 hits. The Mets have the following numbers against Jeremy:
