David. Wright.
He’s had a tough week, he’s had a really tough season.
Yesterday he was looking at a 3-0 count with the bases loaded and one out on a take pitch with a wild pitcher on the mound and he just took a fastball to the right side of centerfield to drive in the winning run, because that’s what captains do. Today the Mets look to beat the Brewers for the third day in a row behind Noah Syndergaard. Syndergaard is 4-2 over 8 starts and 53.1 innings with a 2.19 ERA. In his last three starts he has tossed 21.0 innings with a 1.71 ERA with a 2-1 record and 21 K’s. Last year he allowed 1 ER over 6.0 innings with 5 K’s against the Brewers. The Brewers have the following numbers against Thor:
- Braun 1-3
- Anderson 1-2
- Gennett 0-2
The Mets draw Chase Anderson one start after one of the best of his career. Right now he is 2-5 over 8 start and 44.0 innings with a 5.32 ERA. In his last start he pitched 8.2 innings allowing 2 ER over 3 hits (2 homers) after flirting with a no hitter. His first two starts of the season were quite good but then things went haywire for the next 4 starts. Last year he had a 4.50 ERA over 2 starts allowing 5 ER over 10.0 innings and 16 hits. The Mets have the following numbers against Chase Anderson:
- Granderson 1-5
- Duda 1-5, HR
- Lagares 3-5, HR
- Rivera 1-3
- Walker 1-4
- Cabrera 0-2
- Campbell 1-2
- Syndergaard 1-2
Let’s Go Mets!
