His last start was the first time since the birth of his child that he allowed more than 2 ER (he allowed 3 over 6) and only the second time since June 17th. He did face the Rockies earlier this year allowed 2 ER over 7.0 innings striking out 5. The Rockies have the following numbers against Niese:

Two starts again he allowed 1 ER over 8 hits and 6.0 innings against the Mets and last time out he tossed a complete game shutout against the Padres.
