The Mets finally put together a complete performance yesterday as they beat the Phillies 6-3, and they look to do it again tonight. Yesterday they received an average start from Bartolo Colon coupled with three homers from the offense, including a key go ahead three run shot from Wilmer Flores and relief pitching to close the door. Tonight Jacob deGrom will look to make sure the Mets end up in the win column against Jerome Williams.
Jacob is 5-4 on the season over 9 starts and 55.2 innings with a 2.75 ERA. In his last two starts he has tossed 14.0 innings allowing 6 hits, 1 earned run including 17 strikeouts. Most of the positive numbers are from his last start where he one hit the Cardinals over 8.0 innings and struck out 11 birds. In his first start against Philly this year he allowed 7 hits over 6.1 innings but no runs. The Phillies have the following numbers against deGrom:

The Mets bats will get another look at Jerome Williams who is 3-4 over 9 starts and 48.0 innings this year with a 5.44 ERA. He is coming off of his second worst start of the season allowing 5 ER over 5.0 innings and in the month of May he has a 7.03 ERA allowing 19 earned runs in 24.1 innings. His second start of the season was against the Mets where he allowed 5 runs, 4 earned over 10 hits and 5.0 innings. It was by far his worst start in April.
