Game Preview: Marlins vs Mets

It’s good to be a Mets fan right now. They are 9-3 currently on a 7 game win streak and look to finish of the Marlins in a four game set this afternoon. Last night the Mets got a lead early and built it up to a 5-0 score behind the great arm of Jacob deGrom. The bullpen made it interesting in the 9th inning bringing the Marlins within a run but in an emergency situation Alex Torres came on to get the one out save.

Matt Harvey is 2-0 on the season allowing 3 ER and 9 hits over 12.0 innings this year, an ERA of 2.25. In that stretch he has allowed only 1 walk and struck out 17 batters. He was 0-1 over 4 starts against the Marlins in 2013 with a 3.52 ERA over 23.0 innings allowing 9 ER over 28 hits and 4 walks while striking out 26.
