Game Preview: Marlins vs Mets

The Mets rebounded last night and snapped their losing streak against the Marlins, thanks in part to a huge night for Flores. Tonight Dillon Gee looks to keep it going. On the season he is 7-7 over 20 games and 125.2 innings with a 3.80 ERA. In his last four starts he is 3-1 over 25.0 innings and 18 K’s with a 3.60 ERA. He only made one start against the Marlins this year, shutting them out over 8.0 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 4. The Marlins have the following numbers against Gee:

The Mets bats will look to keep it going from last night against Henderson Alvarez who is 10-6 over 27 starts and 166.1 innings while posting a 2.81 ERA. The young hurler, and first time all-star this year, is leading the league in complete game shutouts (3) in 2014. After back to back to back poor starts where he allowed 12 earned runs over 14.2 innings but right now he allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings. He has made five starts this year against the Mets with a 2-1 record and a 3.45 ERA and 28.2 innings. The Mets have the following numbers against Henderson:
