Game Preview: Marlins @ Mets

After a terrific start to a game that saw deGrom tie a major league record for striking out the first 8 batters in a game, the Mets eventually lost last night to the Marlins by the score of 6-5. Bartolo Colon will try to get the Mets back on the right track tonight. On the season he is 13-12 over 28 starts and 182.2 innings with a 4.14 ERA. He is coming off of a rough start against the Nationals where he allowed 6 runs, 5 earned over 3.0 innings. In two of his last three starts he has allowed at least 5 earned runs. Or in four of his last six starts he has allowed a maximum of two earned runs (take the statistic based on how optimistic you feel today). He has made one start against the Marlins this year allowing 3 ER over 7 innings. The Marlins have the following numbers against Bartolo:

The Mets batters will face off against Nathan Eovaldi tonight who his 6-11 this season over 30 starts and 182.1 innings with a 4.29 ERA. In the month of September he has allowed 7 ER over 10.1 innings and 16 hits. He has made only one start against the Mets this year allowing 5 hits and 3 ER over 7.0 innings. The Mets have the following numbers against Nathan:
