The Mets pitching was for the most part solid yesterday, but the offense could not click together and left a good amount of runners on base, leading to a scoreless showing. Tonight Jacob deGrom gets the start against Jarred Cosart.
Jacob is 8-6 on the year over 20 starts and 127.1 innings with a 2.62 ERA. Over his last three starts, deGrom has allowed 2 runs, none earned over 21.0 innings with 20 K’s. In three starts against the Marlins this year he is 2-0 with a 0.45 ERA over 20.0 innings with 21 K’s. The Marlins have the following numbers against deGrom:
