It was a disappointing game for the Mets last night. Twice late in the game (7th and 9th innings) they had a real opportunity to score runs and tie or take the lead in the game but it didn’t happen. Today they will try to right themselves as they take on Stephen Strasburg behind Dillon Gee.
Dillon Gee is 4-4 on the season over 14 games and 89.0 innings with a 3.54 ERA. After a stretch of horrid to average bad starts since coming off of the DL, he finally got it together in his last start allowing 1 ER over 7.0 innings. His first start of the season was against the Nationals where he allowed 4 ER over 6.2 innings. The Nationals have the following numbers against Gee:

His first start of the season was against the Mets where he allowed 4 ER over 5 hits and 6.0 innings while striking out 10. The Mets have the following numbers against Stephen:
