Game Preview: Phillies @ Mets

The Mets and Phillies play the rubber game tonight as the Mets try to right the ship after dropping one in Philly. Yesterday’s game was close for the majority of the game and then late, the wheels just fell off. Anyway, Dickey will put the wheels back on the cart today as he takes on Cole Hamels, who could possibly be on the trading block this month.

Dickey was Dickey in his last outing as he pitched 8.0 innings of shutout ball. On the season he is 12-1 over 16 starts and 113 innings of work with a league leading 2.15 ERA. He made one start against the Phillies this year where he allowed 1 ER over 7 innings, 9 hits, while walking one and striking out 7. The Phillies have the following numbers against RA:

The Mets will get a look at Cole Hamels today who is 10-4 on the season over 16 starts and 111.0 innings and an ERA of 3.08. After a rough start to the month of June, Cole has improved over his last three starts as he has allowed 5 ER over 22.0 innings. In two starts against the Mets this year he has allowed 6 earned runs over 15.0 innings. The Mets have the following numbers on Cole:
