On July 1st, the Brewers will be having an Italian Heritage night. Heritage nights are common in baseball, but this is the first time to my knowledge that a team will be wearing an Italian Heritage Uniform on the field (and definitely the first time an opponent will be wearing an Italian themed uniform, but more on that tomorrow).
Anyway Uni Watch Blog posted this image of the Birrai’s uniform set last week. As you can tell the uniform is based off of the current batting practice uniform, has red underarms with a green uniform and the current Brewers patch. Personally, I’m a little confused why they don’t treat this like their Cerveceros uniforms and just change the name on the front of the uniform and keep the uniform in color set.
This uniform isn’t that appealing at all, but it is a lot better than their opponents, which we’ll talk about tomorrow.
